Topic 6: Superstitions

Write about a superstition regarding good or bad luck from you country.  Use the passive voice whenever appropriate, especially the construction, "It is thought that.../It is believed that...."

Topic 5: Legalized marijuana

The use of marijuana has just been legalized in Colorado and Washington.  Do you think marijuana should be, or ever will be legalized in your country?  Why or why not?  (try not to blame the people who use marijuana or the people who voted for its legalization ;-)

Topic 4: What would you have done differently?

Looking back on how you spent your college or high school years, if you could change things, what would you change?  What would you have done differently?  What would you have kept the same?

Topic 3: Advice

What advice would you give to someone who wants to travel to your home country?  What should they do to get a visa?  What should/shouldn't they bring?  Where should/shouldn't they visit?

Topic 2- Where do you see yourself?

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  What will you have accomplished?  What will you have studied?  Where will you have traveled/lived?  What will you be doing?
